I immediately nervously covered his mouth and pulled him inside after opening the door.
Lucas Sinclair confined me in his ar
arms, his kisses forceful and surging.
It wasn’t until I was pressed down that he looked down at me, his eyes icy cold, and asked:
“Aria, do you know how many people want my contact information?
“Why did you block me? What did you take me for?
“A tool to dispel your sorrow, or a substitute for your ex–husband?”
Those eyes were bottomless, making me afraid to meet his gaze.
The wind whipped the flowers into a frenzy.
I couldn’t help but tremble, biting down on his shoulder.
“Think it through before you speak.
For a period of time after that, Lucas Sinclair and I maintained a delicate balance.
I had seen firsthand how uncompromising he was in negotiations. No matter how cultured he appeared on the outside, it couldn’t hide his
decisive and ruthless nature.
For someone like him, women wouldn’t be in short supply. I really couldn’t figure out his intention in squeezing into my home every day.
Perhaps he found it novel….

“Anything is fine with me.”
I’m not picky about food. Lucas Sinclair directly took me to a high–end restaurant, where Connor used to love bringing friends.

Lucas Sinclair ordered several dishes, and I realized he understood me better than I had imagined.

“Did you specially choose this place?”
I couldn’t help but
but ask the question in my mind.
“I hope that in the future, wherever you go, the only
only person you think of will be me.”
Lucas Sinclair cut the steak and gently pushed it in front of me
“Mr. Sinclair, don’t joke around. We don’t have a future.”
I smiled wryly.
The expression of the person in front of me suddenly turned cold, filled with some indecipherable emotion.
“Aria, do you think I’m the kind of person who’s casual about relationships?
“You’ve provoked me, don’t you plan to take responsibility?”
“Mr. Sinclair, I’m divorced.
I sighed.
“So what?”
“We’re not suitable”
“You didn’t say we weren’t suitable when you wanted to kiss me.
“Now that you’ve had your fill, you want to sever ties with me?”
Lucas Sinclair stood up and gripped the back of my chair, his hot breath fanning my face, his soft lips just inches away.
I still wanted to kiss him.
“Connor, you really don’t want to find your ex–wife?”
The voice of Connor’s friend sounded outside the private room, and I immediately held my breath.
“Wait until she comes to apologize on her own.”
Connor said coldly, his tone tinged with impatience.
Looking at his phone, Aria had blocked all his contact methods, even on social media platforms.
This time, her temper was quite big. It was time to properly grind her down.
“Miss Harper will be here soon. Should we order her favorite dishes?”
“Whatever, you don’t need to ask me about these things.
Aria still hadn’t actively sought reconciliation with him, to the point where Connor had lost interest in Zoe Harper as well.
Perhaps he had been too harsh towards Aria that day at the coffee shop.
Next time he saw her, he could consider giving her a way out.
During their time apart, Connor finally realized that compared to the fresh excitement outside, he still preferred Aria’s stability.
He and Aria were meant to be together, destined to be bound for life.
