Chapter 7
I stared at him in bewilderment.

Even though this was already my second life, I still had not gotten a full grasp of Bradley’s way of thinking. I always ended up
getting shocked by how shameless he could get.
I squirmed free from his grip and pushed him away.
“You’re the one who needs to stop doing this! I’ll soon become your uncle’s wife! You ought to show me some respect!”
Seeing that I would not give in, Bradley tried to hold my head still and kiss me. “I won’t allow you to marry him! You’re mine
and mine only!”
As I closed my eyes and tried to resist, I was suddenly pulled into a warm embrace. Terrence placed his jacket over my
shoulders. Then, he broke Bradley’s nose by throwing a punch at his face.
“Bradley Garvin, do you have a death wish?”
Blood spilled from Bradley’s nostrils. It got all over his face, making him look quite menacing.
Bradley wiped the blood off with his hand and snickered. “I never thought someone as brilliant as you actually preferred using someone’s leftovers, Uncle Terrence. She’s even someone who’s been discarded after being thoroughly used.”
Terrence’s eyes were red as he seethed. He hurled another punch at Bradley.
“I’m going to teach you a lesson on behalf of my sister and brother–in–law today. If you wish to quit your job at Garvin Corporation, I’m more than willing to grant it for you!”
I hurried over and held Terrence’s hands. My voice was filled with concern as I checked the wounds on his hands. “Does it
hurt?”
Bradley lifted his head upon hearing those words. Then, he dropped his gaze.
After taking a long good look at me, Bradley walked away with a conflicted expression on his face. Jenna came running out of the house just then and went after Bradley. She called out to him several times.
However, Bradley did not slow down or stop. He got into the car and drove off, leaving Jenna standing there alone with a
blank look on her face
I took out a handkerchief and carefully wiped away the bloodstains on Terrence’s knuckles.
“Nothing happened between me and Bradley. You shouldn’t believe the nonsense he was spouting…”
Terrence smiled and stroked my hair gently. “I know.”
It almost felt like the unwavering look in his eyes was about to swallow me whole. I could feel my ears burning. My cheeks
were flushed scarlet.
Suddenly, he lifted his hands and gazed at me pitifully. “You should take responsibility since I got hurt because of you…”
I found his actions and behavior amusing. I patted his head too. “Alright. I’ll take full responsibility.”
Like a child who just received candies, Terrence beamed brightly. “My wife is the best.”
During the next few days, Terrence and I enjoyed each other’s company. It was as if we were meant for each other. We could tell what the other person was thinking with just a simple glance.
It was only then did I realize that this was what it actually felt like to love someone.
After giving it some thought, my feelings for Bradley were not of love. What I felt was more of an attraction toward him back when we were still young and naive.
