Chapter 12 You Hugged Her Because You Thought She Was Me?
“So, what do you even like about Elsa? You two don’t seem like you’re on the same wavelength.”
Hearing that question. Johnson’s mind slowly drifted back in time.
He remembered the first time he saw Elsa–he’d been completely captivated by her legs.
“Elsa… her legs are beautiful, especially when she dances.”
Quinn, lying under the covers, clenched her fists in secret when she saw the intoxicated look on his face.

Then, she looked at Johnson with wide, innocent eyes and spoke in a sweet, delicate voice, “I think something got in my eye…. could you take a look?”
At her words, Johnson leaned in to examine her eyes.
Just as he got close, Quinn suddenly kissed him on the lips.
Johnson froze, completely stunned and motionless.
Quinn quickly pulled back. “I’m sorry,” she said softly. “I couldn’t help myself…
“You just… You just look a lot like someone I used to know. I’m really sorry.”
Tears welled up and fell from her eyes.
Watching her cry, Johnson felt something tremble deep in his chest.
For a split second, he imagined the woman in front of him was Elsa…
And the next second, without hesitation, he pulled her into his arms.
They were locked in a tight embrace when suddenly a sound came from the doorway.
Elsa stood there, holding a thermos, stunned at the sight before her.
Only then did Johnson snap out of it and let go of Quinn.
Neither of them noticed the sly smile that curled up at the corner of Quinn’s lips.
She had seen Elsa hesitating at the doorway earlier and had done it all on purpose.
And now, it looked like she’d gotten exactly what she wanted.
The moment Elsa ran off, Johnson bolted after her.
“Stop!” Johnson caught up and grabbed her wrist.
His eyes were bloodshot. Staring at Elsa, he said slowly, “Elsa. Let me explain.”
“What is there to explain? I saw it with my own eyes”
If she hadn’t seen it for herself, Elsa wouldn’t have reacted the way she did.
It was because she couldn’t handle betrayal that she ran
She didn’t expect Johnson to chase after her
*You’re not even going to give me a chance to explain?” Johnson’s voice trembled. “It’s not what you think!”
Elsa yanked her hand away, her nails digging into her palm
Her eyes filled with tears as she choked out, “Explain what? That you hugged her because you mistook her for me? Or that you defended her in front of everyone just because she’s my sister, and you’re trying to care for her because of me?”

Her lips twisted into a bitter smile.
In that moment, Elsa realized she didn’t know Johnson at all.
She took two steps back and sneered, “Do you think I’m an idiot?”
“I’m not that easy to fool!”
Meanwhile, the livestream comment section exploded.
“Elsa’s being so ungrateful! What’s wrong with Johnson helping Quinn?”
“Exactly! Quinn said something got in her eye–how else was he supposed to help if not by getting close?”
“She’s dirty, so she thinks everyone else is too!”

“Order!” The judge slammed the gavel. “One more disruption, and the comment section will be disabled!”
Johnson was agitated by the barrage of comments and suddenly stepped closer to Elsa, his eyes burning. “Do you have to be this aggressive>
“You know better than anyone what really happened!” Elsa shot back, unwavering.
She had no feelings left for the man in front of her.
Memory scene.
Johnson had dragged Elsa into the stairwell.
His breathing was heavy as he held her by the back of the neck. “You really don’t know how I feel about you?”
Smack!
The slap echoed through the courtroom.
Elsa’s palm stung, her eyes red. “Don’t touch me with your filthy hands!”
Her whole body trembled as she stared at him wide–eyed.
There was a time when she’d thought Johnson was the only one she could rely on.
But now? Even he had chosen to take Quinn’s side.
She couldn’t bear that kind of betrayal With every ounce of strength, she screamed, “The moment you chose to believe
Quinn, we were finished!”
Johnson stumbled back, his sneakers slipping on scattered documents.
His head smacked against the wall with a loud thud, and he clutched the back of his skull in pain.
“You deserved that”
A few supportive comments finally popped up in the stream.
“Good slap Scumbags need a wake–up call!”
“That it was so satisfying
Elsa turned and ran out of the stairwell
Outside, a thunderstorm had started.
But she didn’t seem to notice he just kept running through the rein

She staggered home, her soaked clothes clinging to her skin. The cold bit into her, making her shiver uncontrollably.
The bathroom was fogged with steam.
She peeled off her wet clothes, ready to shower.
“Almost forgot…” Elsa suddenly stopped in her tracks and muttered, “Still haven’t nailed that spin in The Dance.”
With that, she tossed her clothes in the hamper and walked out of the bathroom.
In the dance studio, her reflection spun wildly in the mirror.
Her blistered feet burst open, but Elsa kept turning, counting softly, “Five… six… seven…”
“Ah!”
A piercing scream rang from the bathroom.
Quinn collapsed in a pool of blood, her palms pierced with shards of glass, tears brimming in her eyes. “Elsa… why would you hurt me?”
Felix and Mandy burst in to see Quinn sprawled on the floor.
Blood kept seeping beneath her.
“This is outrageous!” Mandy grabbed a nearby rinsing cup and hurled it at Elsa.
Elsa had just walked out of the dance studio, completely unaware of what had happened.
Mandy’s shrill voice rang in her ears. “Look what you’ve done! You just can’t stand to see your sister doing well, can you?! She just got out of the hospital!”
Elsa stared in shock at the scene, speechless for a long moment. When she finally spoke, her voice shook. “I–It really wasn’t me. I don’t know how this happened.”
“Who else would leave glass in the bathroom? What, you think you’re framing me and your dad?”
“Elsa!” Quinn looked up at her, eyes full of sorrow. “If you don’t like me, just say it. But you didn’t have to go this far…”
“Mom, it hurts…”
