Chapter 1
On the day of the twins, Jeremy and Kimberly Hildrick’s first birthday party, a courier delivered a mysterious envelope.
My husband, Levi Hildrick–who had always treasured our twins as if they were his greatest treasures–read the document, then suddenly flew into a frenzy, insisting the children couldn’t stay.
My in–laws, Edward Hildrick and Daniela Watson, adored Jeremy and Kimberly beyond words. They rushed over to stop him. But after reading. the document, they snatched the twins from my arms and tried to run.
Even Fiona Hildrick, my sister–in–law, who spoiled my kids rotten, sent. the twins off in an unfamiliar car the moment she finished reading.
I fought desperately to stop them, but none of them would give me a single word of explanation.
For years, I searched everywhere, but I never saw Jeremy and Kimberly again.
When I could no longer bear it, I confronted Levi, demanding answers- only for him and his mistress to shove me off a high–rise.
When I opened my eyes, I was back on the day of the twins‘ first birthday party.

The moment I realized I was holding that same envelope in my hands, cold sweat broke out all over me.
That’s when it hit me–I’d been reborn.
Chapter
In my previous life, I’d seen Levi’s name listed as the recipient and, never
suspecting a thing, handed the envelope to
I never imagined he’d go mad after reading it, insisting that Jeremy and. Kimberly couldn’t stay, determined to send them away.
I fought him with everything I had and barely managed to get the twins. back, only for him to yank me by the hair and beat me mercilessly.
Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Edward and Daniela rushed in to stop him.
But after they read the document, their expressions changed completely. They said we shouldn’t interfere with Levi’s decision.
In despair, I demanded to know if they thought the twins weren’t Levi’s.
To my shock, Daniela slapped me and shouted that it was precisely because the twins were Levi’s that they had to be sent away.
When Fiona finally came home, I clung to hope again.
I begged her to talk some sense into Levi and the others.
But after she read the document, she just sneered and refused.
She even said that if she were me, she’d make the same choice.
Watching Jeremy and Kimberly being driven away, my heart shattered. The memories of my past life were nothing short of a nightmare.
I couldn’t control myself anymore. I rushed to Jeremy.
He was still playing innocently with his little toy airplane, and I couldn’t hold back my emotions–I scooped him up and hugged him tight.
Then I ran to the bedroom and finally saw Kimberly, the daughter I’d been longing for.
She was sleeping so sweetly, her little face angelic, and I couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down my cheeks.
Since fate had given me a second chance at life, this time I was
determined to find out exactly what was in that envelope and protect my
children at all costs.
I glanced at my phone. Levi wouldn’t be home for another ten minutes. I had enough time.
My hands moved quickly, ready to tear open the envelope.
But just then, Levi burst through the door.
He immediately spotted the envelope in my hands and asked, “What’s that?”
Cold sweat prickled down my back.
I had no idea why the timeline had changed.
Trying to act casual, I replied, “Just something I ordered online.”
But Levi lunged at me, snatching the envelope from my hands. Suspicious, he said, “I saw my name on it. Why are you taking it?”
I stared at him in shock. He had terrible eyesight–over a hundred diopters -and wasn’t even wearing his glasses.
How could he read such tiny print from that distance?
But there was no time to think about it.
Because he was about to open the envelope.
I screamed, “Don’t look!” and lunged to grab it back.
He kicked me to the floor and, with lightning speed, tore the envelope.
open.
Just like in my previous life, he froze, then locked his gaze on Jeremy.
I rushed over and scooped Jeremy into my arms, but Levi grabbed his little hand and wouldn’t let go.
I sobbed, “He’s your own son! What are you doing?!”
We tried for years to have these children because of his health issues.
I’d endured countless injections just to bring them into this world.
He’d always doted on them–how could he suddenly want to send them. away?
Levi showed no hint of guilt. He just looked at me coldly and said, “If you were me, you’d do the same.
In my previous life, I waited for years for an answer. I died without ever knowing why.
Now, I couldn’t hold back my rage any longer. I screamed, “Then tell me! Why?! Why are you doing this?!
“Do you think they’re not yours? Go get a DNA test! Go!”
He slapped me hard across the face and shouted, “So what if they’re mine? If I don’t send them away, my whole future will be ruined.”
He yanked Jeremy toward him, ignoring the boy’s cries of pain.
He used to be heartbroken if the twins got even a scratch. Now, he was utterly ruthless.
I hated that document more than ever. What on earth did it say?
I clawed at Levi with my nails, desperate.

He lost it, punched me in the face, and wrapped his hands around my throat, veins bulging.
“You bitch! You’re ruining everything! I’ll kill you!”
