Chapter 6
Next day at 2 PM, Ryan got woken up by his phone ringing.]]
He answered groggily without checking who it was.
“You piece of shit better get your ass home RIGHT NOW!“[]
He snapped awake for a second, glanced at Madison passed out naked in his arms.[]
“Dad, what… what’s going on? Why are you so pissed?”
He slowly pulled his arm out from under Madison and tiptoed out of bed, throwing on clothes.
How did I raise such a shameless idiot! Get Scarlett back here NOW!“]
Get her back? Wasn’t Scarlett just chilling in the hospital?
Where was he supposed to get her back from?
Did she throw another tantrum and run to his parents?]
With that, Ryan immediately got annoyed: “Did she come crying to you guys again? Look Dad, you know how Scarlett’s always been–spoiled princess since day one. I’m already bending over backwards for her, but she’s being such a brat.“]]
“SHUT UP! You worthless piece of garbage!”
Heavy breathing on the other end, then his mom’s voice:
“Ryan! How could you be so stupid? You and Scarlett have eighteen years of history together. Even if you fell for someone else, you didn’t have to humiliate Scarlett like this! You made her so upset she left the country!“[]
All of Ryan’s drowsiness vanished instantly.]
Left the country?]
He automatically glanced at the AC–82 degrees, not cold.]
But suddenly he was breaking out in a cold sweat.]]
He hung up and immediately called me, but it went straight to a disconnected number.[]
Tried texting–I’d blocked him.[]
Panicking, he called my roommate Hazel.]
“Hey Hazel, it’s Ryan…“]
The line went dead.[]
Chapter 6
Ryan was confused and called back.
“Hey, I’m just…“[
“You’re WHAT, you brain–dead piece of trash! Scarlett was way too good for a loser like you!“[]
“Wasn’t it fun playing those nasty games? You even had to post it for everyone to see! Why don’t you just start a livestream with Madison and make some cash for lunch money!“]
“Dating some trashy slut while playing the ‘just friends‘ game–you two deserve each other! Leave Scarlett the hell alone!“]]
The line went dead again.[]
Ryan stood there holding his pants up with a shaking hand.[]
Post it for everyone to see–what did that mean?]
He finally noticed his phone was blowing up with messages.||
With trembling fingers, he opened them to find videos of him and Madison’s intimate games from last night spreading through the family group chat.
Not only that, someone had posted it on social media and it was all over the campus network.[]
He scrolled down and stopped dead at the last screenshot with just one line:[]

In that moment, Ryan felt his heart racing, sharp ringing in his ears.]]
The words in front of him twisted and blurred, making him dizzy and nauseous.[]
“That’s impossible. Scarlett wouldn’t leave me. She’s waiting for me at the hospital.“]
He kept muttering to himself while frantically getting dressed.]]
Suddenly, an arm wrapped around his shoulder, hot breath in his ear:[]
“Leaving so soon after pulling your pants up? Last night you said you wanted to be with me forever.“]
What should’ve been seductive words now hit Ryan like ice water, chilling him to the bone.[]
He shoved Madison away and grabbed her throat, his voice breaking:
“What the FUCK did you send Scarlett last night?!“]
Madison clawed at his hands, her face turning red.]
Ryan threw her onto the floor, her naked body rolling across the carpet.[]
The body that had driven him wild last night now meant absolutely nothing to him.[]
Chapter 6
“Ryan! What’s your problem! Scarlett doesn’t give a damn about you!“]
“I did all that stuff to her and she didn’t even react! You’re treating me like shit for HER?! You’ll regret this!“[]
Ryan finished buttoning his shirt and slowly crouched down, gripping her chin.[]
“I never want to hear you say another bad word about her. Ever. Or YOU’LL be the one with regrets.“[]
With that, he put on his shoes and headed for the door, ignoring Madison’s screaming.]
Right outside stood two uniformed police officers.]
“Excuse me, are you Ryan Castellano and Madison Torres?“]
“We have reports of assault and multiple counts of intentional harm. You both need to come with us for questioning.“]
