Chapter 10
Compared to Declan’s embarrassment and pain, Jenna seemed much more composed.[]
She even tried to find an opportunity to grab my hair and fight back.]
But I didn’t give her that chance, keeping a tight grip on her hair.]
“Declan,” I said coldly, “Putting aside the fact that you’re messing around with this kind of woman, don’t you know the saying ‘Don’t covet your friend’s wife“?”
“Is this how you treat your good buddy?” –
Seeing his affair exposed, Declan completely deflated.]
His face red, he shouted loudly: “Stop fucking filming!“]
He even looked like he might get violent.]],
But the influencers weren’t scared at all. Instead, they mocked him:[]
“Weren’t you acting all tough? You can do it but can’t own up to it?“]
Declan gritted his teeth but was helpless.
He decided to go all out:]
“Jenna seduced me.“]

“You know, honey, she’s liked me from the beginning and kept trying to seduce me… Look at her, everyone. What’s there to like about a woman like this?”
“To put it bluntly, even if I really wanted to cheat, I’d definitely find someone young and pretty, not someone like this.”
“This vixen has no shame! She’s destroying my family! Honey, I was wrong about you. You saw through her from the start–she’s no good. I was…”
“Declan!” Seeing him badmouth her in front of a hundred thousand people, Jenna snarled through gritted teeth:[]
“Have you no shame?”
“If you hadn’t said you missed me, would I have come to find you? I even said I wasn’t feeling well, but didn’t you say you wanted to try something new?”
Watching the two of them argue was both ridiculous and pathetic.]
I let go of Jenna’s hair and stepped back, giving the influencers a clear shot.

Honestly, when Jenna lost it, she was pretty vicious.
She pulled down her neckline, exposing the scattered red marks all over her body:[]
“Did a fucking dog bite these? Want to get them tested?“]
“Weren’t you the one who said your wife was pregnant and asked if I wanted to try it? I didn’t see the message, so you came banging on my door in the middle of the night! Started tearing my clothes off right away–I haven’t even reported you for rape yet! Fuck! Are you even human, Declan?“]
I tugged at the corner of my mouth and pulled her clothes back up:[]
“Say what you want, but don’t get their livestream shut down. Everyone’s just trying to make a living.”
This didn’t interrupt Jenna’s train of thought at all–she kept shouting.
Even as more and more onlookers gathered, including many of Declan’s coworkers hiding in the back to watch the drama unfold.
She poked Declan’s chest with her long nails:]
“You have two moles up there–want to take your shirt off and show everyone?“]
“I’ve got photos too! Anyone want to see them?”
“Enough!” Declan couldn’t take it anymore. He grabbed me and tried to leave: “Let’s go home and talk about this properly. Stop making a scene here.“]]
I shook off his hand, confused: “What do I have to be ashamed of?”
The crowd began whispering, along with unmistakable laughter.[]
Feeling humiliated and with nowhere to vent his anger, Declan suddenly grabbed my collar and yelled:[]
“Haven’t I been good enough to you? Since you got pregnant, I haven’t made you work a single day! But I’m a man with normal physical needs—isn’t that normal? Just because of this, you’re giving me the death sentence?“]
“Besides, Sophia, don’t forget–you’re just an orphan. Your parents are long dead! You can’t survive without me, so what’s the point of this tantrum?“]
“Fine, you just want me to admit I was wrong, right? I was wrong, okay? I just made the same mistake every man in the world makes…”

I swung my arm and slapped him as ha
as I could:
“Declan. We’re done!“]

Chapter 11
Declan laughed coldly and licked his bloodied lips.]
“Fine, Sophia. You’re still carrying my child. Let’s see how long you can stay tough!”
“You’ll come crawling back to me on your knees, crying!”
I pulled the consent form from my bag.]
Just as I was about to speak, Declan snatched it away:[]
“Divorce papers all ready?“]
“Fine, Sophia, don’t regret this!“|]
He didn’t notice my hesitation.[]
He bent down to get a pen from the car.]
With a grand flourish, he signed his name.[]
Then used lipstick as an ink pad and pressed his thumbprint.]
Before leaving, he was still smug:[]
“I gave you a way out and you wouldn’t take it. You’ll regret this! Let’s see which sucker will want you!“]
I knew he understood me too well.[]
He knew my weaknesses, my vulnerabilities.[]
But what he didn’t know was that this time, we really were completely finished.
The day before my surgery, I hired a moving company.[]
On the principle of not leaving anything valuable behind, I took everything worth money.]
I also gave all the videos Jenna had sent me, along with the parking garage footage, to my lawyer.]
Not wanting any more ties to Declan, I decided to file for divorce.]
Unexpectedly, just as I finished packing and was leaving, I ran into Jenna, who was just coming home.
She was covered in purple bruises, her right eye black and blue, like she’d been severely beaten.[]
I was somewhat surprised but didn’t want to talk to her.
As we passed each other, Jenna asked resentfully:]

“You must be pretty pleased with yourself, huh?“]
“He was so obsessed with me… but even after all this drama, he still won’t agree to marry me.“[]
I made a noncommittal “oh” sound, indicating I’d guessed as much.]
When she mentioned Declan, she looked ready to kill him:[]
“Said I was just some slut to play around with, that I wasn’t worthy of him.“]]
“Ha! That’s not what he said when he was begging me to spice things up with him!“]
Seeing she was about to continue her endless complaints, I found the right moment to slip away.
I never expected that would be the last time I’d see Jenna.
