Chapter 16
For a moment, even the air was quiet.
Gwen’s question was like a heavy hammer, repeatedly asking everyone.
They all thought Gabriella was wrong, but no one could say exactly where she went wrong.
Gwen looked at Reynald, his eyes were bloodshot and his hands were shaking uncontrollably.
It seems he remembered very clearly what he had done to Gabriella.
Gwen looked at Agnes again and asked, “What do you think, old lady?”
Agnes shuddered all over, using all her strength to maintain a calm. expression on her face.
“Who can we blame? It’s her father’s fault. Now things are fine, it’s a relief for her and for us.”
Gwen laughed, “The only reason you can criticize her is because of her father, the murderer. But what if that man isn’t her father?”
Reynald suddenly looked up and stared at her, with even chills coming out from the seams of his bones.
“What do you mean?”
Gwen did not answer, he became more and more out of control, “Speak, what do you mean?!”
Reynald was on the verge of breaking down, his eyes stubborn and wild. “Speak!”
Chapter 16
Gwen projected the last photo, and the pregnancy test results appeared in front of everyone, like a drop of cold water in a boiling oil pan.
“This time… was before the betrayal, right?”
“Oh my goodness, Gabriella’s dad was Karson!”
“They were so cruel to Gabriella, how must her mother have felt…”
Gwen walked up to the Hensley family and looked at the absent–minded Karson, her gaze sweeping over his white hair.
“Mr. Davies, I heard that ten years ago you couldn’t bear the blow and turned white overnight, went to a foreign land alone, and have been alone ever since, to take care of Gabriella’s mother for a lifetime.”
“So touching, I really want to ask, who are you doing this for?”
Karson’s face suddenly lost its color.
“No way!” Agnes shook her head, each word emphasized, tears welling up in her eyes. “I absolutely refuse to believe that Gabriella is Karson’s daughter.”
Gwen looked on coldly.
They certainly dared not admit it. Once they admitted it, they would have to face what they had done in the past.
The fact that they forced Gabriella to death.
“Agnes, take a look at Gabriella’s photo. Do you think she looks a bit like Karson?”
Not only did they, but everyone present looked at the photo.
Setting aside all biases, Gabriella and Karson are at least fifty percent alike.
Chapter 16
Η
“In the hospital, Gabriella’s genetic data was readily available, so it would be convenient to do a paternity test, right?”
Agnes got up and walked unsteadily, almost stumbling several times before being caught by someone. She still persisted in walking towards. the photo of Gabriella, tears streaming down her face.
“Gabriella…”
Trembling hands caressed the person in the photo, she sobbed, “Child… I’m sorry… Oh my God, what have I done, I’m sorry…
Karson was also distraught, avoiding the person who had given birth to his beloved daughter.
The funeral turned into a wedding, but in the end, all that was left was the sound of tears of pain and regret.
Gwen approached Reynald, the man who had been the mastermind. behind pushing Gabriella into the abyss.
“Mr. Dalloz, the first time you had a heart problem, it was Gabriella’s mother who saved you. You were really lucky, and your way of repaying her was to take her daughter’s life.”
“I have to remind you again, Gabriella, who was tortured and deceived by you for ten years, is the person her mother is willing to sacrifice her life to protect!”
Reynald collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed by a huge sense of emptiness, his vision blurred.
He looked at his hand and, for a moment, it seemed as if he could see Gabriella’s blood on it.
“Mr. Dalloz, as your attending physician, I must remind you that smoking and drinking are not conducive to good health. You need to go to bed

early, get up early, eat three meals on time, and have a balanced diet in order to protect Gabriella’s heart.”
“You must help her fulfill her wish, carrying this heart of hers, may she live a long and healthy life.”
After speaking, Gwen walked out without looking back.
