Chapter 10
“This has to be kept secret. The only thing I can tell you is that she is my best friend, Gwen put away the stethoscope and didn’t look at him again.”
It couldn’t have been Gabriella, she had never crossed paths with Gwen.
Reynald’s tense back relaxed, his palms sweaty.
“Oh my goodness, this person Dr. Loretta mentioned sounds just like Gabriella, but it can’t be true, Gabriella wouldn’t even stay to spend the last day with you, let alone come by these past few days. She hasn’t even called once.”
Vanessa pursed her lips. “Rey, I have never seen anyone more ruthless than her.”
Gwen looked at Vanessa and smirked, “Since when did the third party have the nerve to criticize the original partner?”
Vanessa’s expression froze. “Dr. Loretta, you may not understand, but Gabriella was a murderer…”
Slap-
Gwen swiftly slapped him across the face.
“Does a despicable person who knows three and acts three have the right to look down on others?”
Vanessa covered her face, looking fierce, “You!”
“Sorry about that.”
Gwen shrugged, “My eyes are a bit messed up, I can’t stand looking at

jerks.”
“Rey, look at her!” Vanessa said, grabbing Reynald in frustration. “I’m going to complain about her, the hospital must fire her!”
“Ms. Lincoln probably got something wrong.
Gwen laughed, “I am not like you. You have to feed on others to survive,
while I can thrive on my own, anywhere. Besides, the life of Mr. Dalloz, the one you feed on, was still given by me.
After speaking, Gwen turned and left.
Vanessa was so angry that her eyes turned red. “Rey, how could she say such things about me, I…”
“Which sentence did she say wrong?” Reynald asked.
Vanessa stood still, utterly bewildered.
Reynald’s cold gaze fell on her hand, and she instinctively let go.
“Recognize your own identity, there is no next time.”
As if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her head, Vanessa stood frozen in place, tears hanging on her face but refusing to fall.
Everyone said she would be the future Mrs. Dalloz.
She gradually lost herself in those flatteries and compliments, thinking she could truly replace Gabriella, but forgetting that Reynald had told her from the beginning that she was just a tool to stimulate and torment Gabriella.
Reynald didn’t look at her, picked up his phone and sent a message to Gabriella: “Where are you?”
The stone sank to the bottom of the sea, with no response.
Chapter 10
Reynald let out a sneer, disappointing her, he survived.
Hiding is useless. When he is discharged from the hospital, he will settle. accounts with her properly.
In the evening, Reynald went to the office to find Gwen.
“Dr. Loretta, I wanted to be discharged as soon as possible.”
Gwen lifted her eyelids and said, “It will take at least half a month.”
“Okay.”
Reynald was about to leave when he caught sight of her wrist, freezing in place.
Gwen wore a wristband on her right hand, even though it was well- maintained and clean, it was clear that it had been around for some years.
Three years a
years ago, Reynald happened to see Gabriella opening a package, inside of which seemed to be an identical wristband. However, he never saw Gabriella wearing it afterwards.
“Dr. Loretta,” the door was pushed open again, and a nurse walked in.
“I brought the donor’s death certificate. According to regulations, the death certificate is supposed to be handed over to the family members.”
Gwen looked at Reynald, her gaze lingering on his chest for a long time.
Reynald’s throat tightened, and a sense of unease inexplicably wrapped around him–like vines.
He took a step forward unconsciously and looked at the death certificate
in the nurse’s hand.
