She showed them the phone screen.
On it was a text message, already written out. One tap and Ricky would immediately release their scandal and the photos.

Laurel and Martin were stunned.
Her calm tone paired with that cold and ruthless expression was the perfect picture of mercilessness.
There was no room for negotiation at all.
They finally started to panic.
If she really did that, they’d be humiliated beyond repair.
Laurel was the first to back down. “Please, Alisa, we really came here with sincerity to talk today. We can talk this out.”
Martin’s tone also changed. “Yes, let’s work this out.”
Alisa put her phone down and suddenly slammed the table. Her sharp and commanding presence made everything on it rattle.
“Then follow my rules!
“Are you two too old and deaf to listen, or still lost in your delusional dreams?”
“I don’t see you as elders, so don’t even think about pulling rank on me. We’ll just break things off completely at worst, and let’s see who can’t afford to lose.”
She had completely laid her cards on the table.
If they weren’t ready to burn their bridges, these two elders would betray her sooner or later.
The sudden force of her hostility made both of them freeze.

She’d overheard this two years ago at the party hosted by the Greens, when she accidentally caught a conversation between Fiona and her uncle, Alex Jefferson.
Fiona was the eldest daughter of the Jeffersons, but she was by Alex from a young age.
Their relationship seemed as close as a father and daughter’s, but also more than that. It was hard to explain.
Ever since he took her in, Alex had never married and was a well–known bachelor in Qodon.
Rumor had it, he wasn’t in a relationship and didn’t get married because Fiona disagreed.
People had all sorts of opinions about the rumors. Pamela had scoffed at them too before.
However, after overhearing the tion two years ago, she realized the rumors weren’t groundless.
“The Jeffersons … “Alisa lowered her gaze and said indifferently.
She turned to Martin, asking, “And you?“.

“Ten years ago?” Alisa frowned slightly.
Was this old man trying to pull another trick?
“I met quite a few people on that island. Not just those nobles of Qodon, but also high–ranking officials from both domestic and international circles.”
Hearing this, Alisa became interested. “Oh?”

“Abaddra…” Alisa repeated.
“That’s right. The name was inspired by Abaddra, ruler of the abyss, also known as the God of Destruction,” Martin explained. He continued, “If you want to dig deeper, look into the Larsons. I’m sure you’ll have unexpected gains.”
That was a lot of information.
Alisa stayed silent for a moment, then pressed the intercom on the desk and said, “Ricky, come in and see our guests out.”
