Joy’s expression lit up immediately. She shoved a gold bar into Sibley’s hands and said, “Sibley, from now on, you’re my best friend for life. Can I come over to your place for meals sometimes?”
Kiara, who was supposed to be her best friend for life, was speechless.
Joy was an outgoing person. Given the scarcity of supplies at the moment, the fact that she could blurt out something like that was not surprising to Kiara at all.
Sibley hesitated for a moment before finally agreeing.

Back in her room, Kiara turned on the light and gave Honey a good petting.
Taking advantage of her rare free time, she took out a cup of iced latte, a plate of beef jerky and chips from her storage space. She opened her tablet and started watching Game of Thrones.
She got to the Red Wedding episode and was so sad when Robb got killed until the chips and iced latte lifted up her mood again.
Honey sat there, staring at Kiara munching on her beef jerky and chips, and pawed at her arm, clearly wanting some.
Kiara gave it a piece of beef jerky. “Be good, these were all seasoned and aren’t good for you. Just have a piece of beef jerky to kill the craving.”
Honey protested with a growl.
I don’t want this. I want real meat.
Kiara flicked its head and said, “If you make another sound, Lwon’t even give you this treat.”
Honey whined softly.
I’m sad, but I’ll keep it to myself.
Watching Honey sulk while chewing on the beef jerky, Kiara smirked and took a few slices of cooked beef from her storage. She gave it to Honey and said, “Be good, Honey. Eat more so you can help me fight the bad guys in the future.”
Raising him for a short while served you for a lifetime.

Chapter 29 Zero–Cost Shopping
Honey bared its teeth, but before it could growl again, a sharp scream suddenly came from the outside.
Kiara’s expression changed. She stopped petting Honey, quickly turned off the light and her tablet and then walked to the window to look out with her binoculars.
A group of people carrying various illegal weapons was moving quickly between the buildings. The tips of their knives were stained with blood, and she knew they had killed someone.
After the power went out, prices skyrocketed, and there were robberies everywhere.
As a luxury complex, Skyhaven had become a prime target.
Countless people wanted to take advantage of the chaos, and the number of residents had dropped sharply.
With no one in charge during this period, Kiara’s mind was stirred, and she was tempted to go on a zero–cost shopping spree
as well.
Her storage space was really good at grabbing things.
Thinking about it reminded her of the charm necklace Sibley had given her earlier.
It had a good quality, and the feedback from her space confirmed it. She expected it would yield a significant return. Holding the necklace, Kiara gave Honey a quick warning, then slipped into her storage space.
The moment she entered, she felt the necklace being absorbed.
She looked up and saw that the changes in the space were significant.
Several robots were working diligently in the fields. The vegetables had been planted, and each one was growing lushly and promisingly.
The trees surrounding the fields had also grown a lot taller, standing there like young poplars and swaying in the breeze. Upon closer inspection, she noticed there were more trees than before, and the new ones were clearly newly grown.
She remembered how coming into her space in person used to make her feel uncomfortable. But now, with more trees, that discomfort had eased dramatically.
Could it be that the charm necklace triggered the new tree growth and that these trees purified the space, making it easier for her to live inside?
Great! Now she really wanted to go shopping for free.
Sibley and Joy didn’t want to just sit around burning through supplies, so when they heard she planned to stock up, they immediately agreed to join.
Too bad they had no idea that Kiara’s stocking up meant zero–cost shopping. They were probably imagining an innocent trip
to the mall.
