Chapter 4
When I reopened my eyes, the Golden Dragon was fast asleep beside me.
Had I managed to borrow his sperm successfully?
I carefully shifted his tail off me, not daring to rouse him. The aphrodisiac incense would keep him knocked out for a bit. I had to make my escape before he woke up.
“Sorry, but I had no other option but to borrow your sperm. Don’t hold it against me,” I murmured softly.
Then I hightailed it out of the Golden Dragon Pool.
After getting what I needed, my body felt as light as a feather. The path out of the mountain seemed a whole lot easier this time.
Strangely enough, the trees that had looked like dead sticks yesterday were now sprouting. It wasn’t even spring yet!
As I made my way down the mountain, loads of withered trees were coming back to life. I could feel the spiritual energy slowly seeping back.
But I didn’t have the luxury of time to stop and gawk at these odd happenings. I booked it all the way home.

“Damn it! Where the hell have you been screwing around these past two days?” Ryan’s voice jolted me as soon as I reached the door. I quickly bowed my head.
“I just went out to clear my head, not screwing around,” I said, trying to butter him up by massaging his shoulders.
Ryan said, “Alright, alright. Stop moping around. The elders have made an arrangement for your marriage.”
“Arrangement? What kind of arrangement?” I stopped massaging.
“Ahem. You’re not a kid anymore. The elders have picked out a few Black Dragons for you. Go and take a look.”
I exclaimed, “What? You want me to go on a blind date?”
The Dragon Clan’s population was scarce, so we put a ton of importance on marriage and having kids.
“Even though their attributes don’t match yours, given your current situation, don’t be so fussy,” Ryan sighed.
“No! I don’t wanna,” I flat–out refused.
“You don’t get a say in this! You’re not allowed to leave these two days. Just sit tight and wait for them!” Ryan snorted and walked off, flicking his sleeve.

The maids on the side dragged me into the house.
“What a mess!” I plopped down on the stone steps, fuming.
Carol popped out of the ground, stretching lazily.

“I almost didn’t make it back,” I said, grabbing Carol and giving her a little shake.
“Hey, cut it out. You’re making me dizzy. Did you see the Golden Dragon?”
I said, “Yeah, and everything went like clockwork.”
“Really? Did you take my fertility herb?”
