Suddenly, there was a huge crash at the front door.
Connor was home.
He stormed in, not looking embarrassed or guilty at all about being exposed.
He burst into the bedroom and got in my face: “What the hell was that shit?”[]
“You humiliated me in front of any classmates‘ parents! How am I supposed to show my face at school now?“]
I stared at this little ungrateful piece of shit.
“So you DO know what you did was shameful? Helping your dad find a mistress, lying and scheming–you and your father are both worthless trash.”
“Luke. Connor–since you both love Rachel Warren so much and hate me, I’ll step aside.“]
“Starting today. I’m handing this family over to her. You three can play house together.“]
Connor stuck his chin out defiantly:]
“Good! I don’t want you as my mom anyway! You’re old and ugly!“]
“CONNOR! SHUT THE FUCK UP!“]
Luke finally exploded and slapped Connor hard across the face.
“She’s your mother! How dare you talk to her like that?
“She almost died giving birth to you! She was hemorrhaging and almost didn’t make it off the operating table! You ungrateful little shit!”
The slap stunned Connor into silence.
I watched Luke’s sudden righteous lecture and almost laughed.
Now he remembers how hard I had it, how much I sacrificed.
Where was this energy when he was lying to my face every fucking day?]
“Luke, just sign the divorce papers and send them to my assistant. Then we’ll go to the courthouse and make it official.”
“Babe…”
“Don’t you dare call me babe. It makes me want to throw up.”
With that, I directly grabbed my suitcase and walked out of that toxic hellhole without looking back.[]
