Before she could finish, Declan shoved his phone in her face, voice ice–cold: “What’s THIS… Nina never forced you to jump in that lake, did she? This whole thing–you SET HER UP!”
Ruby’s face went deathly pale, her smile freezing.
Looking at Declan’s bloodshot eyes, she trembled all over: “It’s not like that… Declan, let me explain…”
“Not like that?”

He leaned down, staring at her intently: “I’ve got ALL the security footage. You better tell me the TRUTH…”
With that, he played the surveillance video–ironclad evidence right in front of her, leaving Ruby no way to
argue.
She broke down sobbing, her voice shrill with desperation: “YES! I did it on PURPOSE! I jumped in myself because I HATE her! I’m JEALOUS of her! Why does she get all your love and attention?! Why do I have to hide in the shadows like some ghost?! I just wanted you to feel sorry for me and hate her more… I just wanted you to stay with me forever!”
Hearing her confess to her crimes, Declan felt the world spin, his stomach churning violently.
So he’d been deceived by that innocent face from the very beginning!
Remembering how he’d abandoned Nina again and again for this vicious woman, hurting her repeatedly, even indirectly causing her to endure ninety–nine blows, endless regret engulfed him.
“GET OUT…” He pointed to the door, voice shaking with rage.
“Ruby, from now on, don’t ever let me see you again!”
Watching Ruby flee in panic, he decided to expose her true nature to the world!
Without hesitation, he packaged all the evidence and posted it directly to Metro University’s public forum and class group chats, even contacting reporters he knew.
Soon, the internet was flooded with contempt and disgust for Ruby.

She didn’t dare go out or look at her phone. Everywhere she went, she faced scornful, hateful stares.
Everyone who used to surround her quickly distanced themselves, avoiding her like the plague.
