Chapter 6
When I got home, I quietly went into the bedroom to pack my things.
Since there was no need to fight for custody anymore, there was nothing left here to hold me back.
“Maeve, you’ve really proven me right. A simple nudge, and you completely lost it. You’re a mental case. How pathetic. How did you ever think you deserved to marry Dylan?”
Liora leaned against the doorframe, looking at me with disdain.
“You didn’t actually think that when Dylan said he’d stay with you forever, it was because he loved you, did you? It was just something he told you to make you feel better. You must have seen that email clearly. The most important person in Dylan’s heart has always been me.”
“He was willing to turn your pups into monsters personally for me, steal them from you, and use them as stepping stones to my success. Oh, how pathetic… those ugly things, they were still crying for their mom before they died.”
“By the way,
I bet you don’t know where the ashes of those monsters are buried, do you? I’ve already fed them to the dogs. After all, those ugly things, who only brought shame to their parents, didn’t deserve the dignity of a burial. What do you think?”
I couldn’t take it anymore. I charged at her, grabbing her by the throat.
“I’ll kill you!”
The next second, someone kicked me in the stomach.
Crouching on the ground, my insides felt like they were twisted in agony.
Dylan stood there, his arms around Liora, his gaze heavy with a profound disappointment.
“Maeve, are you the only one whose pups died? You just stole someone else’s pups, and now you attack Liora–how long are you going to lose control?”
“I’ve already done everything I can to remove the negative impact you’ve caused for the Crystalveil Pack. I’m exhausted. Can you for once stop making this harder than it already is? Just… stop!”
“Liora came back with the team to perform for us, and she didn’t do anything to provoke you. Why are you attacking her? Apologize!”
Liora smirked, a false sweetness in her eyes as she played the victim.
“Dylan, it’s fine. Don’t push her too much. I’m really afraid she might kill me. I’m a normal person and won’t stoop to her level. Take me to the hospital, please, to check my neck.”

Upon hearing this, Dylan’s sympathy deepened, and he cast a cold, disdainful look at me.
“Liora is a thousand times more considerate than you.
“I won’t be back for the next few days. You think it over. The day after tomorrow, I’ll have the Beta assistant pick you up to the hotel.”
They embraced and left.
I clutched my stomach as I struggled to get up. In the name of the Crystalveil Pack, I donated everything I owned.
I printed out the Mate Bond Termination Agreement in silence, then headed straight to the airport, booking the first international flight I could find.
Dylan, I hoped we never see each other again.
Two days later, at the banquet, the large screen displayed the words “Happy 10th Anniversary of
Our Mate Bond.”
But even after the acrobatic troupe’s performance ended, Dylan didn’t see me.
He muttered to the Beta assistant in a low voice, “Maeve is getting out of hand. She deliberately stays away from these events just to provoke me. Doesn’t she care what people think? Go get her.”
But as soon as he finished speaking, Dylan noticed the odd looks from all the guests.
The Beta assistant instinctively checked his phone, then his face turned pale as he shouted, “Alpha! Luna knows the truth about the pups‘ deformities! She posted all the evidence online!”
