Javon habitually sought affection from her.
Jaelynn didn’t say anything. After opening the door, she stood in the doorway and said to him, “Wait here for a while.”
Javon was initially puzzled, but then he saw renovation materials piled up in the villa’s yard.
“The villa is still under renovation and must be a mess, right? You’re always so thoughtful, knowing that I can’t be around dust because of my injury. Alright, call me when you’ve tidied up.”
Jaelynn did not deny it.
As soon as she walked back into the villa, she immediately dialed the hospital.
“Your patient has snuck out.”

He was the prospective patron for her next work.
Jaelynn replied instantly.
“The studio renovation will take some time, so I’ve set up a workspace at home. As for designing new pieces, that depends on Mr. Calhoun’s ideas.
“Then I’ll come by in a couple of days to meet with Ms. Norton and discuss.”
Immediately after, Agustin sent a second message: “Can I see your workspace?”

The large window in the workspace faced the villa’s backyard; opening it revealed the view outside.
She ended up chatting with Agustin about her designs for quite a long time.
After all, Agustin had auctioned her work and his appreciation for her was like that of a true patron.

Jaelynn received an unexpected phone call.
Half an hour later, at a café.
Jaelynn saw Renata Tunstall sitting by the window. She walked over and greeted her politely, “Auntie, it’s been a long time.”
This elegant and wealthy woman was Javon’s mother.
“Jaelynn, please have a seat.”
Renata handed over a branded shopping bag and smiled, “I saw this bag and thought it would suit you, so I bought it. See if you like it?”
Jaelynn did not take it.
Auntie, is there something you wanted to talk to me about?”
She didn’t think today’s meeting was just to catch up.
“Javon was in a car accident and is recuperating in the hospital. When I went to see him, you weren’t there. Is something wrong between you
two?”
Jaelynn ordered a coffee, fully aware but chose not to expose the truth.
Today, Renata wasn’t here to reconcile them, but to test her.
“Auntie, I’ve broken up with Javon. I don’t really know much about his situation.”
Renata feigned a bit of surprise, but there was a smile at the corner of her mouth.
“Jaelynn, may I ask why you two broke up? Javon didn’t say it was like this.”
In fact, she had known for a long time.
The breakup was because of that sponsored female student named Shayla around Javon.
She hadn’t gone to the company to deal with Shayla; women who were greedy for vanity like that weren’t even worth her attention.
But Jaelynn was different.
She and Javon had grown up together, and especially Javon’s attitude toward her was what Renata was concerned about.
“Jaelynin, you and Javon grew up together. Auntie likes you very much, and your relationship is rare… It’s a pity you and Javon weren’t meant to be together in the end.”
