Logan and Talon probably didn’t expect Gloria to show up out of nowhere.
“Do you have some personal issue with Javon?” Talon asked, confused.
They knew Gloria was Jaelynn’s best friend and had met her at gatherings before, but they weren’t very close. They didn’t expect her to be so
fierce.
“No issue. I just can’t stand seeing a scumbag,” Gloria said, stepping in front of Jaelynn and glaring at them. “You two can leave now.”
“This is between Jaelynn and Javon. You’d better stay out of it.”
Logan frowned, glancing at Jaelynn and trying to comfort her, “Javon called and said you quit your job. He was emotionally unstable, which caused that accident at the intersection.
“Go see him at the hospital. You can clear things up in person. If it’s his fault, he should apologize.”
Jaelynn shook her head gently, calm as ever.

Gloria scoffed at Logan mockingly, “Do you have any idea how shameless that sounded?”
“I can’t interfere in my best friend’s life, but what gives you the right to step in?
“Last I checked, you two are her friends too. Ever think about her side? Of course, men always stick together.”
Talon couldn’t help but warn her, “Speak your mind, but don’t drag us into this.”
“Why not? You and Javon are all the same.”
Gloria shot back without holding back.
Being scolded like this was a blow to Logan and Talon
pride, they were big names in New York.
“Can’t you be reasonable? Women are really troublesome.”

Talon lost his temper and started arguing with Gloria.
Logan’s expression darkened too, but he kept his voice calm. “Jaelynn, we’ve known each other for years. I’ve seen how serious things were between you and Javon. Don’t do something you’ll regret.”
Facing them, Jaelynn spoke calmly, “Javon and I have broken up, and I’ve resigned from my job. His matters are no longer my concern.”
She didn’t want to cry or make a scene, nor did she want to broadcast it to the world.
It was always something between Javon and herself.
