“Diana, I can’t believe you’re this kind of person! You’re absolutely shameless!” Robert yelled before storming off.

Diana watched him leave, feeling a mix of helplessness and anger. She never thought he’d have the guts to call her shameless.

“Let’s head back,” Howard’s voice broke through her thoughts, snapping her back to reality.
She had just kissed Howard!
Realizing what had happened, Diana’s face tale, her eyes wide as she stared at him.
Howard’s face was blank, like he had just kissed a wall and didn’t care at all.
“Not coming?” Howard stood by the car, watching her expressions change, and couldn’t help but smile.
“Let’s go back,” Diana said through gritted teeth.
Back at the Spencer Villa, Diana was met with Sophia’s disapproving glare.
Feeling guilty, Diana touched her cheek and slowly walked over to Sophia, softly saying, “Grandma, I’m back.”
“You finally came back, huh?” Sophia snapped. “Diana, be honest with me. Are you avoiding me? Why else would you ignore all my calls?”
“No,” Diana shook her head repeatedly. “I was just so caught up in work and lost track of time. Grandma, I’m sorry! Next time I’ll come back earlier and won’t ignore your calls.”
Sophia looked at Diana and sighed, “Diana, I’m just worried about you. If you’re too busy to come back, at least call or text me to let me know you’re okay.”
“Okay.” Diana’s nose tingled with emotion. It had been a long time since she felt the care of an elder.
She leaned her head on Sophia’s lap, murmuring, “Grandma, you’re so good to me!”
Diana thought, In this life, I must protect Grandma. No one can hurt her, not even me!‘
Howard stood at the doorway, his eyes deepening as he watched the tender scene inside the room,
Howard had just arrived at the company when he saw James walk in, looking travel–worn. “Mr. Spencer, I’m back.”
Howard’s cold eyes swept over James. “Did you put it back?”
“Yes, I returned it with the box to the ancient tomb,” James replied respectfully.
Howard’s brow twitched. He looked up thoughtfully at James, making James break out in a cold sweat.
“Mr. Spencer, did I do something wrong?” James asked nervously.
“No, you did well,” Howard said with a slight smile.
Maybe that gem was too eerie. Keeping it in the box would prevent it from being picked up by someone else and causing harm
Meanwhile, Robert, humiliated by Howard, was in a daze. He couldn’t believe that Diana had married Howard.
“That bitch’s phone is always off, What are we going to do about Laura?‘ Robert arrived at the hospital, hearing Emily’s angry outburst from a distance.
*Mi, Getty, Mrs. Getty, Robert frowned as he approached them.
*Robert, you’re here to see Laura, right? She’s resting in the ward. You can go in,” Aiden said kindly.

Chapter 15
“Okay.”
As Robert walked into the ward, Emily’s suppressed anger flared up again. “Do something! Diana refuses to come back and won’t answer our calls. We can’t keep Laura waiting forever!”
“What can I do?” Aiden’s face was grim. Laura’s condition had been fluctuating, the company was under attack, and profits were declining, leaving him anxious and sleepless.
Aiden couldn’t figure out who was targeting the Getty Group.
“You’re useless!” Emily angrily pinched Aiden’s arm. “No matter what, you need to get Diana here and make her sign the surgery consent form!”
“Enough! Do you even know where she is?” Aiden said impatiently.
“I know where she is!” Robert suddenly interjected.
Emily grabbed Robert’s arm excitedly. “Really? Tell me where that bitch is!”
“Diana married Howard!” Robert said through gritted teeth.
Hearing that, Emily and Aiden were stunned.
“Who did she marry?” Emily muttered in disbelief.
“Howard! I saw it with my own eyes!” Robert’s jealousy flared up at the memory of Diana and Howard shamelessly kissing in front of him.
“So that’s it!” Emily gritted her teeth in anger. “No wonder that usually timid Diana had the courage to defy us. She’s with Howard! She is really shameless!”
Aiden frowned, deep in thought, ‘If what Robert said is true, could Howard be the one targeting the Getty Group?
The thought made Aiden’s face turn pale.
Meanwhile, in the ward, Laura listened to the conversation outside, her hands clenching the sheets in hatred, her eyes filled with venom.
She thought to herself, Why? How could plain Diana end up with Howard?‘
Thinking of her encounter with Howard, Laura clenched her fists in anger.
Laura would not allow herself to be outdone by Diana; she should be trampled and tormented by her instead.
A cruel smile played on Laura’s lips as she lowered her eyes, hiding the venom in them.
When she looked up again, her eyes were filled with tears.
Laura covered her face, her suppressed sobs escaping through her fingers.
*Laura!”
Emily rushed into the ward, hugging Laura and soothing her. “Laura, what’s wrong?”
Laura blinked, her tear–filled eyes looking at Emily. “Mom, does Diana really hate me? I didn’t want to get sick either! But Diana won t donate her kidney to save me and ran away to be with another man. If Diana hates me so much, I might as well die!”
Laura, don’t say that! What would I do without you? Emily hugged Laura tightly, gritting her teeth. “Don’t worry, Ill bring Diana back and make her give you her kidney
