A couple of days later, Alex Thorne was anonymously reported for tax evasion and illegal appropriation and was taken into custody.
That same night, the writer who originally penned the fanfic about Jax Ryder and me updated with a new work.
“Celebrating ex–husband’s incarceration, hereby dedicating this new chapter.”

I casually clicked on it and saw it was some kind of conference room play.
After that, every few days after a game, she would publish a new masterpiece.
In just a few months, she had accumulated hundreds of thousands of followers.
The final game of the Spring Split.
Jax Ryder and his teammates secured a decisive 3:1 victory.
As the new owner of the team, I stood behind Jax Ryder.
Watching them lift the trophy together.
Leo turned back: “Boss, want to join us for a photo?”
I nodded and walked over.
I found that the only empty spot was right next to Jax Ryder.

“Boss, why is your face so red?”
I snapped back to reality. We were already at the celebration banquet.
Though I didn’t really want to admit it, I had been distracted the whole way, my mind filled with indescribable thoughts.
The fictional descriptions and the intensely real, perfectly harmonized moments of
pleasure from our past kept intertwining in my mind, gradually turning into an inexpressible
urge.
I chugged several glasses of wine and stood up.
Feeling the rush of drunkenness, I steadied myself, propping my hands on the table. “You all celebrate, I’m going home first.”
“Boss is drunk, Jax, you should take her home.”
The words “no need” were on my lips, but before I could utter them, Jax Ryder had
already stood up.
“Let’s go.”
