Chapter 9
Griffin rushed me back to the woll castle in his arms.
After the pack doctor’s examination, I stepped out to find the entire royal household gathered together, King Devon was beaming from
ear to ear
“What a blessing! I’m going to be a great–grandfather soon!” he announced, his laughter booming through the hall. “We’ll need to hurry with the bonding ceremony, and I’ll see to it that half of my estate is transferred into Willow’s name.
Under the weight of Griffin’s tender look, I felt a gradual, bewildered realization stirring within me. Slowly, I placed a hand over my stomach and realized, belatedly, that a new life had already taken root there.
For the first time, it felt as though a brand–new chapter of my life was truly beginning.
The bonding ceremony unfolded in a sea of smiles and blessings. The royals hosted a grand celebration, both for our bond and for my coronation as Luna Queen. Alphas and Lunas from every pack gathered; it seemed as though the entire realm had come to bear witness
In the dressing chamber, my mother’s eyes brimmed with both sorrow and joy.
‘Alpha Victor asked me to apologize on his behalf,” she murmured. “Those two boys… oh, what a mess they made.”
“It’s alright. All of that is behind me now,” I answered gently. The pain of the past had already been buried; today belonged to the bright future we were building.
Glinda nodded, blinking back her tears, and sent me onward to the coronation hall.
Outside, chaos erupted. Xander and Lucas were locked in a struggle with the guards, No matter how roughly they threatened, they refused to leave.
Our eyes met across the distance, and theirs lit with desperate hope.
“Willow, don’t become his Luna!”
“Please, Willow, we were wrong. We don’t care about Maxie. We never loved her.
were struck down or
Twenty years of shared childhood, and only now, on the day of my bonding ceremony, they claimed to love me. It was laughable, and unbearably sad..
Xander, once so proud, now broke down in tears.
“Willow, don’t you want me anymore?”
Lucas echoed him, his voice hoarse.
“Yeah don’t you want us?”
I faced them squarely, my voice steady.
“No. Just like you
you didn’t want my roses.”
“Don’t forget, it was you who turned me away first. While you spent your nights with that omega, I spent mine shattered by your betrayal.”
“You called me weak. Did you ever wonder if it was your rejection that carved that weakness into me? You cast me aside, and now you come back speaking of love? If you keep this up, I’ll have you both locked in the dungeons beneath this castle.”
The roses I had once tended to carefully in the garden for years and used for a confession that never came, had withered in vain.
The music for the bonding ceremony began, drowning out Xander’s sobs. Mother signaled to the guards, who dragged them away.
Even then, Xander managed to look back at me with a pitiful smile.
“Willow, please don’t be angry. If you’d just forgive me, I’d do anything for you….”

I shook my head and sighed..
“Xander, Lucas, you were the ones who taught me that in front of someone who doesn’t love you, nothing you do matters. I’m carrying Griffin’s child now. The three of us will live together in happiness, for a lifetime. So stay far away from me. Stop poisoning my life.”
With a wave of my hand, the guards forced them out.
Then, gathering up my ceremony gowns, I walked with steady steps toward Griffin.
That ugly little scene faded quickly from my mind. The ceremony went on flawlessly.
When the elder solemnly asked Griffin if he was willing to mark me as his Luna, to crown me as Luna Queen, no one noticed, in a shadowed corner of the hall, two broken Alphas were pinned to the ground by guards, but staring at me in tears with hollow devotion, whispering the words as same as Griffin’s answer.
“I do”
