Chapter 17
Gabriella, like her mother, was soft–hearted and kind. Gwen didn’t know if what she was doing was against Gabriella’s wishes, but she couldn’t
resist.
Gabriella just had to find fault, she couldn’t stand to see those people doing well.
Suddenly, a gentle breeze brushed against my face.
Gwen paused, her eyes filled with tears. In a daze, she felt as though she had been embraced by Gabriella for a moment.
The hotel emptied out as people left one by one. Agnes, whose emotions had been fluctuating wildly, was taken to the hospital. In the end, only Reynald was left.
He sat paralyzed on the ground, looking at Gabriella in the photo. In hist mind, there kept flashing moments of his insincere past.
“What’s the point of retaliating directly against her? I will spend five years. lifting her up to the sky, and then personally push her into hell.”
“Gabriella, welcome to hell!”
“Could you fulfill my wish and die?”

you go die?”
“Gabriella, why didn’t you go
Those harsh and cruel words pierced his heart like a sharp knife, sending chills down his spine and tearing out waves of excruciatingly bloody pain.
He actually realized early on that his feelings towards Gabriella were not just about revenge, but also mixed with uncontrollable infatuation.
But he didn’t dare to treat Gabriella well, otherwise it would be a betrayal of his original intention.
He just wanted to torment Gabriella and be tormented by her in return for the rest of his life, and he wouldn’t regret anyone.
It wasn’t until now that he realized how wrong he was.
“Gabriella… I’m sorry…”
“I’m sorry, I was wrong… I shouldn’t have treated you like that.
“I won’t make the same mistake again, can you give me another chance, please?”
His voice was hoarse and rough.
An apology that comes late has always been the most useless.
Reynald’s hand rested on his chest, still able to vividly feel Gabriella’s heartbeat. But the person he most wanted to see, he could never see again.
He closed his eyes and Gabriella from his birthday appeared before him again.
“My wish was…”
“Reynald, you must live a long and healthy life.”
Live to be a hundred years old.
He never knew that these four words could be so cruel.
“Gabriella…”
Chapter 17
“How am I supposed to live?”
Reynald lived like a walking dead.
He ate three meals at regular times, exercised regularly, had a weekly check–up, didn’t smoke, drink, or socialize. The entire meaning of his life seemed to be protecting the heart that Gabriella had donated to him.
He walked the same path Gabriella had walked, learning how she had signed the agreement to donate all her organs.
Three years later, Agnes passed away.
And two years later, one day, Reynald suddenly became the epitome of passion in the eyes of others, so absurd that even he found it laughable.
Once again coming back from the graveyard, he was hit hard by a car and knocked to the ground.
“It’s all your fault. It’s because of you that I ended up like this.”
“I hate you!”
The driver got off the car, crying and laughing like a madman. It took Reynald quite a while to recognize her.
It was Vanessa who disappeared to avoid debt. Obviously, she did not have a good five years.
As consciousness gradually faded, Reynald was rushed to the hospital.
The last thing heard was the doctor’s regretful words.
“There was no other way, so we initiated the donation program and performed a heart transplant…”
Chapter 17
Reynald finally laughed.
Fortunately, this time he did not harm Gabriella.
His consciousness sank into darkness, but the next moment, Reynald suddenly woke up, with a buzzing sound in his ears.
The brothers around him were laughing and joking, he was stunned. It had been five years since he had last interacted with them, and besides, they had inexplicably become much younger.
Reynald looked at his phone and saw that the time displayed was from ten years ago.
His heart tightened suddenly, and he grabbed a brother abruptly.
“Where was Gabriella?”
