Chapter 12
On the ground, in the bathtub, everywhere there were dried bloodstains,
the scene was even gruesome.
Reynald’s face was pale, a chill creeping up his spine.
Vanessa also followed, screaming and backing up several steps.
“Oh my goodness, what’s going on, what is Gabriella doing here, it’s so
scary!”
Reynald’s mind was in a state of confusion.
A person only has so much blood, once it’s gone, it’s gone. Is Gabriella really okay?
She should be fine. She wouldn’t have the energy
would she?
Ding dong-
scold Vanessa,
The sudden ringing of the doorbell was like a death knell for Reynald.
Immediately after, there came the unexpected voice of Betty from outside. “Dr. Loretta, what brings you here?”
“Reynald, Dr. Loretta said there was something for you.”
Reynald, however, remained motionless, once again losing control as he remembered Gwen’s wristband, his breathing becoming increasingly rapid.
The bloody smell followed every breath he took, invading his lungs inch by inch.
Gwen approached him from a distance, stopping in front of him with an expressionless face.
“Please take it, Mr. Dalloz.”
Reynald lowered his head, still holding the light death certificate in her hand.
But this time, he saw clearly, the name written on it was…
Gabriella!
“No… it’s not possible! She wouldn’t die no matter who died. Dr. Loretta, you said the donor was your best friend, Gabriella, that kind of person who doesn’t even have a friend, where did she get a best friend?”
Gwen sneered, “There are complete surgical records in the hospital. If you want to see them, you can go anytime.”
A surge of blood rushed to Reynald’s throat as he looked sharply at Vanessa, as if grasping for the last straw of salvation.
“Vanessa, has Gabriella called and cursed at you several times in the past half month? You said, Gabriella is still alive, isn’t she?”
Vanessa looked pale and panicked, avoiding his gaze.
“Maybe I remembered wrong, maybe there was a misunderstanding, it wasn’t Gabriella who called…”
Gwen sneered, like a sharp knife stabbing into Reynald’s heart.
A clap of thunder exploded in his ears.
Is Gabriella dead?
But how could she have died?!
Chapter 12
Betty frowned as she looked at the paper. “The daughter of a murderer is dead, and that’s that. I just hope she is born into a better life in her next life and doesn’t make the same mistakes again.”
Gwen looked at her with a fierce expression in her eyes.
“Madam Dalloz, the heart beating in your son’s body right now belonged to the daughter of a murderer. Since you look down on her so much. should we just cut out her heart?”
Betty was stunned, unable to believe it, and was left speechless.
Gwen’s gaze swept over the people in the room. The message had been delivered, so it was time for her to leave.
It was not until this moment that Reynald came to his senses and instinctively rushed over to grab her.
“Gabriella… Gabriella, she… she now…”
Gwen smiled at his bloodshot eyes.
“Did you ask if it was her body?”
Reynald was trembling all over. “I… I beg you… I need to see her, I must see her…”
Watching him in such a sorry state, Gwen felt no pity at all, but rather a sense of satisfaction.
“You couldn’t see it, her ashes were scattered into the sea.”
Reynald’s eyes were bloodthirsty, he looked insane. “Why did you make this decision without consulting me?”
“Yes, Gabriella’s biggest wish in the past was to be buried next to her mother after she died.”
Chapter 12
Gwen stared into his eyes, enunciating each word.
“Reynald, can you tell me?”
“What did you do to make her change her mind?”
