Chapter 1
Charles Sinclair was cheating.
Yolanda Grant had been married to him for two years and had never seen him lose control in public.
It was late at night, and Charles was holding a girl in his arms. They tangled recklessly in a dark, empty alley.

The girl was skinny, like a small flower growing out of the mud. She wrapped her legs around Charles’s waist and leaned on his shoulder, sobbing.
Yolanda sat in her car and leaned back slightly.
Half an hour earlier, when someone sent her this address, she thought it was a mistake.
It was not far from the bo presidential suite.
she shared with Charles. She had thought that if Charles ever cheated, he would at least book a clean
Charles was a powerful businessman. His family had been wealthy and respected for three generations. He had always been strict about food, clothes, and taste.
Yolanda never imagined he would entangle himself with another woman in such a dirty place. The stained floor and mossy walls seemed to shame his name.
He loved her this much?” She found it ridiculous. Then what does that make me, his wife in name only?‘
She didn’t wait for them to finish, nor did she go up to catch them. It wasn’t worth the scene.
Two years ago, when she married Charles, he told her he would never love her. He already loved someone else,
It had been her choice to marry him anyway, even giving up her rising career, only to prove her devotion.
For two years, she took care of him. She knew about his stomach problems, so she cooked every meal with care and planned his clothes every day.
She never let anyone else handle his needs.
But she had never thought the man she treasured so carefully would drop his noble mask in such a filthy place and turn into a beast.
Yolanda felt as if she had been slapped hard–painful and humiliating.
But she still had things to do. This marriage had to end.
She drove home. The headlights swept past, and Charles froze, lifting his head.
He wasn’t sure whose car it was, but it was heading toward the villa district where their home stood. A strange unease came over him.
“Charles, I still feel so bad…” the girl in his arms begged, but he had already sobered up, slowly straightening his sleeve.
“Charles?” she whispered, confused.
“That’s enough for tonight,” he said. “The company has big projects coming up. I can’t risk, divorce rumors right now.”
“I understand, Charles,” she said. “I can wait.”
Charles raised his hand and patted her head. Her pitiful look reminded him of Yolanda back then.
Yolanda had just come out of the bathroom when she saw the bedroom door pushed open by Charles.
He carried his suit jacket on his arm and raised a brow. His face was sharply handsome, almost aggressive, with a high nose and deep–set eyes. The narrow lift at the end of his eyes gave him a distant, cold arrogance.
On the collar of his white shirt was a smear of pink gloss left by his mistress. Yolanda had never liked lip gloss–she always thought it sticky on the lips.
But Charles seemed to like it very much.

As she dried her hair, Yolanda walked toward the bed.
Charles glanced at her slim waist and asked, “When did you get back?”
“This afternoon,” Yolanda said.
Charles let out a small breath.
Through the window’s reflection, she saw him toss aside his tie and unbutton his shirt with one hand.
The back of his shirt was dirty, and he only said casually, “I was out playing golf tonight.”
“Then I guess you scored plenty of holes. Congrats,” Yolanda said flatly.
Charles frowned, a little unsettled.

He stepped forward and wrapped his arm around her waist. “Are you mad? But I told you when we married, I didn’t love you. If you’re that unhappy, just find someone else to cheat with.”
Yolanda said nothing. Her chest felt like it was being bound with wire, every breath sharp with pain.
She had known Charles for years. Back when she was first adopted by the Grant family, she had already met him.
She never imagined that after all her years of love and two years of marriage, this would be the answer she got.
“Fine,” she replied lightly.
Charles chuckled and brushed a kiss against her cheek.
He didn’t think she meant it. Yolanda loved him–so deeply it shook the earth. He believed she would never betray him.
