Chapter 7
The three of them–Levi, Edward, and Fiona–had already collapsed on the floor, drenched in cold sweat.
Edward looked like he was about to die from fright.
After all, Daniela had only just passed away, and he’d wasted no time surrounding himself with other women. His guilt was eating him alive.
Fiona dropped to her knees with a heavy thud, bowing repeatedly in the direction where Daniela had vanished.
“Mom, you were already gone when I got home! It wasn’t my fault, it wasn’t my fault!”
After what had just happened, Levi and the others were more convinced than ever that I was some kind of witch.
They believed I’d used sorcery to control everyone at the party, and that it was my magic that brought Daniela back from the dead.
Levi no longer dared to cross me.
He knelt before me, sobbing, “Evie, after all these years together, please, I’m begging you–just let me go. I swear I know I was wrong!”
Edward and Fiona, both a sniveling mess, pleaded for mercy as well.
But it wasn’t remorse that moved them–it was the fear of my retaliation.
I didn’t waste another word on them. I simply told Levi, “I’m giving you one last chance. You get to choose.
“If you succeed, the documents you just signed will still be valid.

“If you fail, I won’t force you. You can go back to your old life.”
Levi was stunned that I’d actually give him a way out, nodding eagerly in
agreement.
Good. I wanted to see just how ruthless he could be for the sake of profit.
I placed a knife in his hand.
“Jeremy and Kimberly were sent away because you all worked together. We’re husband and wife–I can forgive you for that.
“But your sister and your father? That’s where I draw the line.
“The choice is yours.”
Levi stared down at the knife in silence.
Fiona couldn’t hold back, cursing me through her tears. “Evie, you vicious woman! Wasn’t it enough to get my mom killed? Now you’re trying to turn us against each other!”
Edward quickly tried to talk sense into Levi. “Levi, she’s up to something.
Don’t listen to her!”
I sneered. “Like I said, even if he doesn’t do it, I’ll still let you all go. You can return to your old lives.
“You’ll just lose everything that was never yours to begin with.”
As soon as the words left my mouth, Levi’s eyes turned cold. “What do you mean, never mine? All of this is mine!”
Without warning, he drove the knife straight into Fiona’s chest.
One moment, Fiona was cursing me; the next, she looked down in shock. at the blade buried in her chest.
Chapter 7
She couldn’t understand how the brother who’d always protected her could kill her with his own hands.
All she’d done was help him send the kids away–surely that wasn’t a crime worth dying for.
Edward, seeing the madness in Levi’s eyes, realized his son had completely lost it.
He lunged for the knife, trying to wrestle it away.
Levi snarled, “Mom died for me–why can’t you do the same? I’m the only heir this family has!”
Edward spat back, “Heir? I can always have another son if you’re gone!”
They struggled fiercely.
In the end, Edward, weaker and outmatched, died at Levi’s hand.
Having killed his own father and sister, Levi only laughed maniacally.
He tossed the knife aside and strode over to me. “Evie, don’t you think it’s time to keep your promise?”
I looked at him calmly. “You could have just given them a superficial wound to appease me. Why did you kill them?”
Levi sneered, “Those two idiots would only compete with me for the inheritance. What good were they to me?”
Watching just how ruthless he truly was, my heart turned cold.
Soon, the new contract was handed to him. He signed his name with glee.
At last, he’d gotten everything he wanted–even the shares that were supposed to go to Edward and Fiona now belonged to him alone.

He was more convinced than ever that killing Edward and Fiona was the smartest thing he’d ever done.
His laughter echoed through the hall, long and triumphant.
Watching him finally get his wish, I walked over to Vanessa and said, each word clear and deliberate, “Levi, haven’t you noticed how much I look like Vanessa?”
Levi glanced over in confusion, only then realizing the uncanny resemblance between Vanessa and me.
No–she wasn’t just similar. She was practically my younger self.
Panic seized him, and he stumbled back two steps.
Suddenly, a lost memory came flooding back to him.
When he finally understood the truth, terror filled his eyes.
At that moment, a voice echoed from above the hall.
