Chapter 7
On the other side of town, Camila had been nauseous and vomiting for days.
A quick exam confirmed it–she was indeed pregnant.
Overjoyed, she shared the news with Chase.
He was thrilled too and accompanied her to the OB visit.
But after they left the hospital, a shadow passed over Camila’s face.
“Every time I think about that guy trying to rape me that day, I get so scared,” she said quietly. “He
didn’t actually touch me, but it felt just as terrifying… how could Nora be so heartless…”
Chase’s expression darkened the moment he heard Nora’s name.
“Why bring her up and ruin a perfectly good day?”
Seeing the disgust flicker across his face, Camila was secretly pleased.
She gathered her courage and said,
“Didn’t you promise me that whatever Nora did to me, you’d pay her back a hundredfold?”
“Well, she tried to have me raped, Chase. Don’t you think it’s time she got a taste of her own
medicine?”
Chase was silent for a moment, then finally muttered, “That might be a bit much…”
Camila teared up, clutching her belly.
“I just want our baby to have justice… If you hadn’t shown up when you did, that man would’ve
ruined me… I’m so scared, Chase…”
Moved by her tears, his resolve softened again.
“Alright. I’ll handle it.”
Camila immediately lit up, throwing her arms around him.
“You’re the best, Chase…”
“I won’t let anything happen to you. You’re carrying my son now.”

He kissed her on the forehead, full of affection.
That night, Nora was dragged out of the Cold Storage Vault.
Dazed and groggy, she asked,
“Where are you taking me?”
No one answered.
It wasn’t until a pair of filthy hands grabbed her that she suddenly snapped awake.
In front of her stood several leering, greasy bald men.
She turned pale with fear.
“What are you doing?!”
They laughed crudely.
“What do you think we’re doing? We’re doing you.”
“Your husband handed you over to us himself. Told us we could do whatever we wanted with you. You really didn’t know?”
Her body began to shake.
“No… No, he wouldn’t… he couldn’t…”
“Lady, this is the Whitmore family’s cold room. You think we could’ve gotten in here without his permission?”
That single sentence shattered her last bit of hope.
She could barely breathe, crushed by a pain she couldn’t name.
She had always believed that no matter how cruel Chase could be, some part of him still
remembered the past they shared. That the only reason he ever hurt her was because he believed
she’d wronged Camila.
But this?
This was inhuman.
Just then, a voice crackled from the surveillance speaker above.

“Nora, I told you. This is your punishment.”
“I hope you learn your lesson. There won’t be a next time.”
Nora was too weak to cry.
She screamed, hoarse and broken:
“Chase, you lunatic! I want a divorce! You’re a fucking sadist!”
“Divorce?”
Chase chuckled lowly.
“Nora, you think you can just walk away from me?
“But if you beg me right now… admit your mistake and promise it’ll never happen again—maybe I’ll consider letting you off this once…
))
The men closed in.
Nora had never imagined her life would come to this:
Her own husband hiring men to rape her, cornering her like prey,
And she still had to beg him for mercy.
“Fine! I’ll beg. Just get them away from me… please…”
“Chase~ why are you still watching that camera?” Camila’s voice purred. “I bought a new cat–ear
lingerie set just for you–come see~‘
“I’m coming, baby,” he said, all sweetness.
Then cut the feed.
