Chapter 5
Witnessing this scene, everyone present widened their eyes in disbelief.
Maxwell, as the CEO, looked completely dumbfounded too.
“Secretary Warner, have we recently taken out a loan from the bank?”
“Why wouldn’t they use a business account transfer?”
Hearing this, Tiffany immediately put on a smile and stepped forward to inquire.
“Mr. Thompson, I think you’ve got the wrong address. Grayson Industries hasn’t applied for any loans recently.”
The bank president, Mr. Thompson, didn’t even glance at her.
He cleared his throat and called out loudly:
“Is Miss Reynolds here?”
“I’ve been ordered by my superiors to deliver $100,000,000 in cash to Trump Tower. Please sign to confirm receipt.”
With these words, everyone’s eyes immediately turned to me.
Tiffany stared at me in utter disbelief.
I just curled my lips into a cold smile and casually stepped forward.
“The banks in New York are quite punctual, aren’t they?”
Mr. Thompson glanced at me discreetly, then bowed at a ninety–degree angle.
“It’s my honor to serve you, Miss Reynolds.”
Seeing this, Tiffany couldn’t help but ask:
“Mr. Thompson… are you sure you have the right person?”
“She’s just some country bumpkin from out of town. How could she possibly warrant your personal attention?”
“Secretary Warner, you received a phone call twenty minutes ago, correct?”
Tiffany nodded instinctively.
“Then there’s no mistake. This $100,000,000 in cash is the compensation from my superior for your car repairs.”
Tiffany’s body suddenly trembled, her face dramatically changing color.
“Mr. Thompson, considering our years of acquaintance, could you possibly give me a hint about who I’m dealing with?”
“I’m not at liberty to say.”
The president’s answer was decisively curt.
After this exchange, Tiffany was sweating profusely.
Seeing his secretary at a loss, Maxwell felt his face losing credibility.

Chapter 5
“Mr. Thompson, I’m the CEO of Grayson Industries. Am I entitled to know this person’s identity?”
The bank official sighed lightly, his expression troubled.
“Mr. Grayson… given your current clearance level, I’m afraid not.‘
The moment he finished speaking, the crowd erupted in astonishment.
“What? Did I hear that right? Even New York’s wealthiest businessman doesn’t have the clearance to know who we’re dealing with?”
“To mobilize $100,000,000 in cash with just one phone call–that kind of power is possessed by only a handful of people in the entire country!”
“This is bad… Secretary Warner and Mr. Grayson have really stepped on the wrong toes today.”
As the surrounding discussions grew louder, Maxwell’s face became increasingly pale.
“Mr. Grayson, your secretary’s requested $100,000,000 in cash has arrived.”
“Now… shouldn’t we discuss my compensation?”
“You little bitch, I just looked it up online–your car model, even fully loaded, is worth barely $300,000. It’s practically worthless.”
As she spoke, Tiffany proudly waved her phone in front of my face.
I smiled and shook my head.
“Mr. Grayson, it seems your secretary’s perspective is too limited.”
“My boss’s car isn’t available for public purchase, so how could there possibly be a real price listed online?”
“I warned you earlier that Cadillacs come in many varieties. How could a family model compare to a government vehicle?”
