Chapter 3
Judging by Tiffany’s expression, I could guess she’d filled Maxwell’s head with all sorts of lies about me.
Using someone else as a weapon–she had truly mastered that skill.
Based on Maxwell’s attitude toward me so far, I knew any explanation would be pointless, so I didn’t bother wasting my breath.
“Just tell me how much you want, and I’ll pay for the damages.”
Maxwell seemed surprised by my straightforward admission, his eyes showing a hint of bewilderment.
“Pay? Can you afford it?”
“This Ferrari was my eighteenth birthday gift from my father–there are only three in the world, and this is the only one in America.”
“Just a chip in the paint would cost more than your life is worth. What could you possibly pay with?”
I raised an eyebrow, a faint smile playing on my lips.
“Mr. Grayson, just name your price. Whether I can afford it or not is my problem.”
“$10,000,000 dollars!”
Before I could respond, Tiffany jumped in again.
“You smashed in the entire front end. It can’t be fixed here–it’ll need to be sent back to the factory in Italy.”
Her demand drew gasps from the crowd of onlookers.
Even Maxwell himself seemed shocked.
“Secretary Warner, this car cost just over $10,000,000 when I bought it. Fixing a bumper couldn’t possibly cost that much, could it?”
Tiffany immediately waved her hands dismissively.
“No, no, Mr. Grayson, you’re thinking too narrowly.”
“This car was a birthday gift from your father. The sentimental value alone is immeasurable, isn’t it?”
“Asking for just ten million is actually being merciful to her.”
Maxwell considered Tiffany’s argument and found some logic in it.
“Fine! $10,000,000 it is!”
I accepted without hesitation, giving them no time to reconsider.
In that moment, all eyes in the crowd were fixed on me.
Some thought I was bluffing, others suspected I was playing some kind of angle, and the rest were simply enjoying the spectacle.
But their opinions didn’t matter to me.
What mattered was that my car had also been damaged.
Though not as severely as the Ferrari, there were still some scratches on the rear.

Chapter 3
If it had been an ordinary domestic car, the impact from Tiffany would have probably totaled it.
“Now that we’ve settled Mr. Grayson’s car, shouldn’t we discuss mine?”
As I spoke, I suddenly changed my tone, the corner of my mouth curling into a slight smirk.
“Mine is a domestic car, so we won’t need to bother sending it abroad for repairs.”
As soon as I finished, the crowd erupted in laughter.
Led by Tiffany, her sycophants pointed at me with contempt.
“This woman must have lost her mind. A cheap domestic car? How much could it possibly be worth? At worst, I’ll just buy you a new one.”
“You’ll pay? Got money to burn?”
“That piece of junk can’t be worth much–my monthly allowance would probably cover it.”
I swept my cold gaze across the crowd before speaking slowly.
“Ladies and gentlemen, while my car may be domestic, it’s not just any ordinary vehicle.”
“I suggest you all call your parents right now and ask them what a Cadillac Celestiq represents!”
