Chapter 9
Sterling didn’t spare her another glance, as if she were just an eyesore piece of trash.
“Now, throw this woman and the garbage she brought out. Ritz–Carlton will never serve them again.”
Security immediately stepped forward, unceremoniously hauling up the limp Sage along with those men still licking the floor, dragging them out like dead animals.
Reed was also “escorted” from the lobby. Before leaving, he turned back to look at me deeply.
That look was incredibly complex–shock, regret, anger at being deceived, but most of all, panic at finally realizing what he’d lost.
Watching their pathetic retreating figures, the resentment that had built up in my heart for two years finally poured out satisfyingly with Sterling’s
series of thunderous actions.
“Willa, your dad knows you’re staying at our hotel and specifically sent me to pick you up.”
“Let’s go home.”
With that, Sterling put his arm around my shoulders, his voice low and gentle, completely different from his earlier coldness.
The moment we walked out of the hotel, Reed was still standing at the entrance.
He looked at me with complex eyes, finally asking reluctantly:
“Willa… you… are you really…”
Sterling cut him off directly, his voice ice–cold as before.
“Mr. Harrison, Willa’s name is not for you to use. What you should worry about is how to handle the dual assault that Lynn Corporation and the Whitmore family are about to launch on your Harrison company.”
“After all, offending my fiancée requires paying some price, doesn’t it?”
Sterling’s words were like a final warning and judgment.
Sterling kept his word.
Sage’s mother was soon imprisoned for theft with solid evidence.
The Whitmore family quickly issued a statement severing ties to clear their name, completely kicking Sage out and freezing all her accounts.
Overnight, she went from “fake heiress” to a genuine homeless wretch.
As for Reed, he and his already shaky Harrison family got a full taste of what it meant to offend both the Lynn and Whitmore families.
The combined business assault from Lynn Corporation and Whitmore Group was precise and deadly.
They cut off all of the Harrison family’s funding chains and important partnerships.
The Harrison company collapsed like a giant beast drained of blood, declaring bankruptcy and liquidation.
Mansions, luxury cars, everything valuable was seized by banks to pay debts.
Reed fell hard from the heaven into the dust…

Chapter 9
After Harrison Corporation went bankrupt, Reed once came to find me for reconciliation with a huge bouquet of roses.
“Willa, I finally understand now–I’ve always loved you. Yes, I approached you with ulterior motives, but I unknowingly fell in love with you later. Can you forgive me…”
“Please give me just one more chance, just one chance, and I’ll show you my determination completely. I’ll show you my love for you.”
I laughed coldly.
“Reed, you’re really something. Tell me, what about you is worthy of me now?”
“You have nothing left, and you’re looking for me to be your meal ticket again? Sorry, but I just find you disgusting now. Seeing you annoys me.”
“Besides, why wouldn’t I choose the CEO of Whitmore Group over some penniless nobody like you? I’m not blind.”
Hearing this, he left in despair, and every day after that he would stand outside my apartment complex, holding a big bouquet of roses, waiting and begging me to get back together.
But suddenly one day, he completely disappeared from my world.
Sterling told me he’d gotten together with Sage.
Because Sage was pregnant.
