“IAN!” ]
Fiona’s cry was pure anguish. Her fault. She hadn’t shielded him.[]
“Get in the car! Hospital! Now!” Seth commanded, already moving.]]
Wordlessly, Fiona scooped Ian up, the priority crystal clear: save the child. []
Seth drove like the devil, but luck held. Ian’s injury, while bloody, wasn’t severe.]
As Ian’s eyes fluttered open, a sudden, deep sob wracked his small frame.
“Auntie Fiona!” he cried, clarity blazing in his eyes. “I remember! Mommy! Daddy!” He threw his arms around his weeping parents.
Fiona stared, stunned. Seth’s unintended violence… had jolted Ian’s memory back. []
But it changed nothing for her. “Seth,” she stated, her voice devoid of warmth, “there is no ‘us‘. Never again.”

“Won’t stop what? Harassing my wife? The mother of my child?” []
A tall, broad–shouldered man with striking features stepped beside Fiona, smoothly taking her hand. []

Sebastian’s laugh was easy, confident. “Maybe we’ll invite you to the twins‘ full moon celebration? Thanks, mate. Thanks for having lousy taste. Gave me the chance to win this incredible woman.” He squeezed Fiona’s hand, his gaze locked on Seth, unwavering. “I won’t let go. Not ever. Your chance? Gone.“]
Seth felt flayed alive. Agony beyond words. ]
He could only stammer, “No… it can’t be…“]
Sebastian tilted his head towards Fiona, a playful challenge in his eyes. “Shall we convince him, love?” []
After a heartbeat of hesitation, Fiona leaned in, pressing her lips firmly to him.[]
