I had no idea about the drama at the Morrison house.]]
I was busy getting to know Lucas better.[]
We hadn’t been together long and Lucas kept things pretty low–key, but his eyes always had this intensity when he looked at me. Like staring into some dark ocean.[]
Lucas worked fast – set our wedding for next month.[]
Since bringing me to his place, he basically stayed home when he wasn’t working. Didn’t say much, but he’d hang around whatever I was doing.

While I was settling in with Lucas and planning the wedding, Xavier was losing his shit.[]

Sophie panicked, trying to come up with lies.[]
Xavier didn’t let her. He threw her to the ground hard.
“Drop the innocent act. I knew something was fucked up that day, so I had it investigated.[]
