Chapter 9
I kept my expression cold as I yanked hard on the car door.
But Declan had already locked it from the inside.
Seeing the several people behind me holding phones and cameras, he instantly understood my intention.]
He locked the car even more securely.[]
Before I could make another move, Declan hurriedly pulled out his phone:]
[Who are these people? I’m just taking a nap in my car. Are you trying to get me cyberbullied? Isn’t that going too
This violates my portrait rights and privacy! Make them leave
far?
[It’s getting late–you haven’t eaten yet, have you, honey? There’s a convenience store on the first floor. Go buy something to eat and wait for me there. I’ll be right…]
I didn’t bother reading the rest of his messages
I pressed against the car window and peered inside.]]
There was no one in the back seat or passenger seat []
But I was absolutely certain Jenna was in that car]]
from its case.]
I looked around and quickly walked to the fire extinguisher, pulling it from
I put my phone in my pocket, my expression calm:]
“Keep filming. I’ll handle this myself.”
I hefted the fire extinguisher, my steps heavy and deliberate.]]
I aimed at the car window and smashed it hard-
Declan was completely stunned.[]
He looked up from his phone screen, his expression shocked.
This car was the first one we’d bought after paying off our mortgage.||
It represented our hopes and dreams.
We’d cherished it all these years.
Not only did we wash it meticulously, we never even ate crumbly snacks inside.
And now, I was holding a fire extinguisher, personally smashing its front windshield.
Crystal–clear glass shards scattered everywhere.
Now we could all clearly see the jacket draped over the steering wheel.
I sneered, watching Declan’s slightly trembling thighs.
Without hesitation, I positioned myself in front of the driver’s seat
again.
“Honey, let me explain! I can explain everything! Let’s go home and talk!“]
Declan’s voice was no longer muffled by the car window.[]
It sounded sharp and panicked.[]
He screamed hoarsely
“Stop smashing it, I…”
Looking at his flushed face, I sneered:]
“Too late.”
Crash!
Metal struck glass.
Declan instinctively covered his head and dodged backward.]
Camera flashes shone directly on his face, exposing his disgrace and filth.
He squinted and reached out, trying to cover the phones:
“Stop filming!”
Just as Declan was about to explode in rage, I reached in and unlocked the car.
I yanked off the jacket from Declan’s lap.
I grabbed Jenna’s hair hard and dragged her out.
At that moment, the million–follower influencer held a phone in each hand, excitedly announcing:
“One hundred thousand viewers in the livestream!”
