Chapter 3 Don’t Bully Quinn
How… how could this be?
Wasn’t Elsa supposed to have tried to sell him? Why did it look like this?
“I thought maybe they were working together, but now it just looks like Peter was being a dumb kid…”
“Right? How can you seriously blame his sister for trying to sell him after seeing that?”

Elsa clearly panicked. She rushed forward and grabbed Peter’s arm. “Peter, where are you going? I bought the candy, let’s go home.”
“Leave me alone! I’m not your brother!”
Peter had finally gotten out of the house and didn’t want his fun ruined. He shoved Elsa aside and headed straight for the var
Elsa was so anxious that tears spilled from her eyes. She turned to the store owner in desperation. “Can you help me? That man is a kidnapper! He’s trying to take my brother–please help me stop him!”
But Peter didn’t even look at her. He just rolled his eyes.
The shopkeeper hesitated. Peter looked calm, not at all like a kidnapped child. She frowned. “Kid, is what she said true? Are you being kidnapped?”
Peter shook his head. “No.”
Elsa’s voice broke. “Peter, stop it! Come home with me!”
The man chimed in at just the right moment, “Don’t listen to that girl. This boy is my nephew. I’m just taking him home. I’ve got no clue who this crazy brat is.”
Hearing that, the shopkeeper stopped suspecting the man and turned on Elsa instead.
“What’s wrong with this girl? Grabbing some random kid off the street and claiming he’s her brother? She might not be right in the head. People say traffickers use kids to kidnap other kids now. What if she’s the real kidnapper? Yelling to cover it up?”
Peter looked at Elsa like she was a stranger.
Her eyes turned bright red, but what could a child do? She couldn’t outtalk adults. So she climbed onto the van and clung tightly to Peter. “I’m not a kidnapper! He’s my brother!”
The man, seeing his plan fall apart, flew into a rage. He kicked Elsa violently, trying to drag Peter away.
The shopkeeper didn’t want to get involved. She just stood there, watching Elsa get dragged out and beaten.
Elsa was battered and bleeding, but she refused to let go of Peter.
The area was deserted. No one noticed a little girl getting beaten in broad daylight.
Finally, someone from upstairs heard her cries and called the police.
When they arrived, Elsa was barely conscious. Even so, her hand still clung tightly to Peter’s. Only when she heard the sirens did she finally let go.
The Moore family had already gone completely stiff by the time Elsa shielded Peter. Not one of them could utter a word.
Peter’s face had gone white as a sheet. “No.. How could this be? Did I remember it wrong?”
Hp memones of childhood were vague He only remembered nearly being kidnapped, and that Elsa had been with him.
The comments turned harsh.
“11 Elsa really wanted to sell Peter, she could’ve just done nothing. Why get beaten black and blue like that? She even took the fall afterward? I’m starting to feel bad for her

“Kids might be clueless, but how could the Moore couple seriously think Elsa tried to hurt her brother?”

“Peter kept blaming her all these years. Can you even imagine what kind of life Elsa had in that family? Knowing this, it’s not hard to understand why she turned dark later.”
The Moores‘ faces were pale and tight with shame. Mandy and Felix tried to justify themselves. “When we got there, Peter said Elsa wasn’t around. That’s why we thought she left him alone…”
The judge continued the playback.
The police rushed Elsa to the hospital and brought the trafficker and Peter to the station. They notified the Moore couple.
Peter had been so frightened by the sight of Elsa getting beaten that he went silent. At the station, he broke down crying.
When the Moore couple arrived, they focused solely on comforting their son. Not once did they ask about Elsa–not even when the officers explained a young girl had been hospitalized while protecting Peter.
Peter didn’t dare tell the truth. The three of them just went home.
Elsa stayed in the hospital, alone, with no one to care for her. When she was discharged, she was scolded and blamed for not watching her brother properly, nearly getting him kidnapped.
No matter how she explained, the Moores didn’t believe her.
Now, their faces were utterly drained of color. Peter was trembling all over.
He had always believed Elsa tried to harm him. That belief fueled years of insults and mockery. He thought she owed him everything.
But now… he realized it had been his own fault. And Elsa had nearly died protecting him.
So what did that make him?
The judge slammed the gavel. “Based on the evidence provided, the charge that Elsa attempted to kidnap Peter is not supported.”
The Moore couple fumbled for words. “We… we were wrong about that. But it’s not like we punished her too harshly afterward…”
“After Quinn returned home, whatever they had, Elsa had it too. But she was jealous. On the very day Quinn came back, Elsa pushed her down the stairs! Quinn never did anything to her–how could she treat her like that?”
Peter seemed to find his voice again. “It’s true I misunderstood her before. But my sister’s always been kind. How could Elsa be so cruel?”
The judge said nothing. The footage resumed.
The screen showed teenage Elsa, standing alone.
On the couch behind her sat the Moore parents and Peter, doting on Quinn.
“Quinn, now that you’re home, we’ll make sure you’re never mistreated again. We’ll give you everything you missed.”
Then Mandy turned to Elsa with a warning in her tone. “Don’t you dare bully Quinn. I won’t forgive you if you do!”
Elsa lowered her head. “Okay, Mom. I’ll head upstairs.”
As she turned to leave, Quinn stepped forward and linked arms with her. “Mom, Elsa would never bully me. We’re going to the same school, right? I want to get to know her better”
Elsa looked uneasy, but Felix and Mandy didn’t suspect anything. They just reminded her to get along with her sister.
The two girls went upstairs together. Once they were alone, Quinn suddenly spoke
“Elsa, did you know? That janitor birth mom of yours was still looking for you when she died. You took my place and lived the good life so it’s only fair your parents died the way they did. This is your kartta. If you’re sinart, you’ll pack up and leave.

The screen warped, and when it cleared again, they were at the top of the Moore family’s grand spiral staircase.
Quinn stood a step above Elsa, towering over her.
Gone was the timid, innocent act. Her face was proud and cold.
She reached out and grabbed Elsa’s hand–ice cold to the touch.
Elsa flinched, but Quinn only tightened her grip.
She tried to pull away, but Quinn’s fingers dug in harder.
And as the livestream continued, the viewers watching began to flood the screen with comments…
