Chapter 10
“You bitch! I’ll find you!”
Realizing she had been outmaneuvered again, Camila fired off one final, defiant message before vanishing without a trace.”
I ignored her and turned my attention to something that mattered–I contacted a well–known lawyer in US.”
I asked him whether the current situation with the Ostern Family could be brought to court. His answer wasn’t encouraging.”
He told me the chances of winning were slim. Although the Ostern Family had taken a hit from public opinion, they were still a powerful, entrenched name. The backlash hadn’t shaken their foundation–at least not yet. We needed something bigger, something explosive, something that could strike at the core.
I was reluctant, but I accepted the reality.”
Then, a thought suddenly struck me. I immediately hired a private detective in US to investigate Camila’s past–not just her, but everyone around her, including the shady people she associated with.
If they were capable of doing something so vile to her own brother, it couldn’t have been their first time. No one gets that good at cruelty without practice.
If I could expose the filth they had been hiding, maybe–just maybe–my chances of winning would improve.”
But before I could uncover anything, Bryan found me first.
That day, I went to the hospitał as usual, bringing lunch to Aiden. But when I opened the door to his room, I was met with a face that made my skin crawl.
Bryan was sitting by Aiden’s bedside, whispering
www something to him.
The moment he saw me, his dark eyes lit up. He
like someone who had finally found what they hood up immediately and walked toward me, his voice full of relief and joy-
“Sienna, you’re here. I finally found you.”
had lost.
He reached out to embrace me, but I pushed him away and dragged him out of the ward. Suppressing the nausea rising in my throat, I snapped at him, “What are you doing here?” Seeing the disgust in my eyes, something flickered in Bryan’s expression–was it hurt?”
“I saw everything online. Did you post it?” he asked. “When did you find out about me and Camila?“\
“I can explain what happened between us. It’s not what you think.”
I blinked, surprised. At this point, shouldn’t he be accusing me of ruining his sister and destroying the Ostern Family’s reputation? But instead, he was… asking for explanations?”
When I didn’t respond, he stepped closer, desperation rising in his voice.”
“I can really explain what happened with her. You disappeared without saying
here. Do you know how worried I was?“\
I frowned, my eyes cold and sharp.”
“What obligation do I have to explain myself to you?“”
a word and brought your brother all the way
“You’re my girlfriend. Of course, you have an obligation to tell me where you are.” Bryan frowned. “If you ever do this to me again, I’ll be angry.“”
I scoffed, my voice dripping with disdain.
“I already hit the child. And you still don’t understand what that means?” I stared straight into his eyes, “Let me make it clear this time: we’re breaking up.“%
I turned to leave, wanting nothing more than to walk away from him forever, but he grabbed my arm and held me back.
“I don’t accept that.” His voice trembled. “I know what happened between me and my sister hurt you, but I can explain. I-” I slapped him across the face.
“Explain what?” I snapped. “Explain how you were only dating me to cover up your incestuous affair with your sister? Or maybe explain how you were sleeping with her while still in a relationship with me?” I took a step closer, voice shaking with fury. “Or how you helped your murderer sister stop me from suing her?“”
